Frequently Asked Questions
Safety, Trust & Credentials
Is getting dental work in Turkey safe?
Yes. Turkey is a global leader in medical tourism. Our clinic operates under strict Ministry of Health regulations, equivalent to EU standards.
Will my teeth be shaved down to "shark teeth"?
No. We practice minimally invasive dentistry. We remove only microns of enamel, unlike the aggressive preparations seen on TikTok trends.
Are your dentists qualified?
Absolutely. Our surgeons are members of the Turkish Dental Association and many hold international certifications. Diplomas are displayed in the clinic.
Do you use genuine materials?
Yes. We exclusively use global brands like Straumann, Nobel Biocare, and Ivoclar E.max. You receive authenticity certificates for all materials.
What if something goes wrong?
We offer a 5-year guarantee on veneers and crowns. If a failure occurs due to our workmanship, we repair or replace it free of charge.
Can I speak to a past patient?
Yes, we can connect you with patients from your country via our community groups or provide verified Trustpilot reviews.
Do you speak English?
Yes, our entire medical and patient coordination team is fluent in English. No translators are needed.
Is the clinic clean?
We use hospital-grade sterilization (Class B Autoclaves) and single-use kits. Hygiene is our non-negotiable priority.
Is Antalya safe for tourists?
Antalya is extremely safe, welcoming millions of European tourists annually. It is a modern, family-friendly coastal city.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, the clinic carries full malpractice and liability insurance as required by Turkish Law.
Can I verify your license?
Yes, our Health Tourism Authorization Certificate number is available upon request for verification with the Ministry.
Why are there negative news stories?
Like any country, there are bad clinics. We combat this by being 100% transparent, certified, and avoiding aggressive techniques.
Veneers, Crowns & Smile Makeovers
What is the difference between Crowns and Veneers?
Veneers cover only the front surface (aesthetic). Crowns cap the entire tooth (360°) for strength and protection.
What is E.max?
Lithium Disilicate glass-ceramic. It is the gold standard for aesthetics, mimicking the translucency of natural enamel.
What is Zirconia?
A white metal oxide. It is incredibly strong and durable, ideal for bridges and back teeth.
Can I choose the whiteness?
Yes. You select the shade. From natural (A1) to "Hollywood White" (BL1) or "Extra Bleach" (BL2).
How many teeth do I need for a full smile?
Typically 20 teeth (10 top, 10 bottom) covers the full visible smile line for most people.
Do veneers stain?
High-quality porcelain is non-porous and resists staining from coffee/wine much better than natural teeth.
How long do veneers last?
With proper care, 10-15 years or longer. The veneer doesn't decay, but the tooth under it can, so hygiene is key.
Does the procedure hurt?
No. It is done under local anesthesia. You feel vibration, but no pain.
What if I don't like the shape?
We do a "try-in" before final bonding. You can check the shape/color in the mirror and we adjust it until you love it.
Can veneers fix crooked teeth?
Yes, "Instant Orthodontics" can align mild to moderate crowding without years of braces.
What are Laminate Veneers?
Ultra-thin shells (like contact lenses) that require little to no shaving of the tooth. Only suitable for specific cases.
Will I have gaps?
No, we design the contact points precisely so food does not get trapped between teeth.
Do you use CAD/CAM technology?
Yes, we design your smile digitally for 100% precision before the lab crafts the porcelain.
Can I eat apples?
Yes, but we recommend slicing hard fruits rather than biting directly into them to protect the veneers.
Implants & Surgical Procedures
Which implant brands do you use?
We use Tier-1 brands: Straumann (Swiss), Nobel Biocare (Swedish), and Hiossen (USA).
How long does implant surgery take?
It is surprisingly fast. A single implant takes about 15-20 minutes to place.
What is All-on-4?
A technique where a full arch of fixed teeth is supported by just 4 strategically placed implants.
Do I need a Bone Graft?
If your jawbone is too thin, yes. We diagnose this from your X-ray before you arrive.
What is a Sinus Lift?
Lifting the sinus membrane in the upper jaw to create space for bone. It is a routine procedure for us.
Can I get implants in one trip?
Usually, no. You need 2 trips. Trip 1: Placement. Healing (3-6 months). Trip 2: Permanent teeth fitting.
Is the surgery painful?
Most patients report it is less painful than a tooth extraction. You are numb, and we provide painkillers for post-op.
What is the success rate?
For healthy non-smokers, the success rate is over 98%.
Can smokers get implants?
Yes, but the risk of failure increases. We require you to stop smoking for 2 weeks post-surgery.
Do implants trigger airport security?
No. Titanium is non-magnetic and will not set off metal detectors.
What is "Immediate Loading"?
In select cases with strong bone, we can place a temporary tooth on the implant the same day.
Do you offer a warranty on implants?
Yes, premium brands like Straumann offer a Lifetime Global Warranty on the implant screw.
Can my body reject the implant?
True rejection is rare. Issues are usually due to infection or poor healing. If it fails, we replace it.
What if I have osteoporosis?
We can still treat you, but healing times may be longer. We assess this during consultation.
